Here’s a refined classical recording that deserves more attention from serious collectors of chamber music. The Kavafian sisters, both distinguished concert violinists who built their careers performing with major orchestras and in prestigious venues worldwide, joined forces with pianist Jonathan Feldman for this thoughtfully curated program. Annie and Ida Kavafian were already well-established artists by 1986, with Annie having served as concertmaster of several major ensembles and Ida building a reputation as both a soloist and chamber musician. Their collaboration here showcases the intimate musical connection that can only come from years of performing together.
