Here’s a Canadian pressing of Aerosmith’s sophomore effort “Get Your Wings” from 1974 the album that truly began to define what would become the quintessential Aerosmith sound. While their debut showed promise, this is where Steven Tyler and Joe Perry really started cooking as a songwriting duo, delivering classics like “Same Old Song and Dance” and “Train Kept A Rollin’.” The album marked a crucial transition period where they moved away from their bluesier debut toward the more polished hard rock swagger that would make them superstars. Producer Jack Douglas helped capture a rawer, more aggressive sound than they’d achieve on later releases, making this a favorite among fans who prefer their early, grittier material.
