Originally released in 1977, A Blow For Me, A Toot For You put legendary trombonist Fred Wesley, sax player Maceo Parker and trumpet layer Rick Gardner front and centre. Backed by the cream of the P-Funk crew the album was sensational.

At this time the P-Funk collective was always in the studio laying down tracks for a multitude of bands that included Parliament, The Brides of Funkenstein and Parlet. The chemistry on all these classic recordings is evident and A Blow For Me, A Tot For You is up there with albums like Funk Or Walk or The Mothership Connection.
